Walking Alone

Walking alone at night,
I am away from the noisy world.
Silence is the loudest sound.

I will be home a little
Earlier,go back to the home where
light was off;
Dirty dishes sleep where they sleep this morning.
Everyone I know is hundreds of kilometres away,
But I am alone in my apartment.

No one knows that I am home earlier tonight,
To wait for a familiar voice, a familiar shadow, a familiar...
Or a surprise?
When I wrap myself with my memories and thoughts,
They make me warm and strong.

It's my mistake.
I should not be home this early, when
No one is home.

The white surf flicked on a coral reef, and beyond that the open sea was dark blue reef

The bright sun, the whelming sea and sweet air
Taut wire of the horizon

Floods of light fell more nearly to the perpendicular,
The stark colours of the morning were smoothed in pearl and opalescence
The bushes were dark evergreen and aromatic, and the many buds were waxen green and folded up against the light

This is an island
Inside the lagoon was peacock water, rocks, and weed showing as in an aquarium
Coral was scribbled in the sea as though a giant had bent down to reproduce the shape of the island in a flowing, chalk line but tired before he had finished

The air was thick with butterflies, lifting, fluttering, settling
All around him the long scar smashed into the jungle was a bath of heat
Forced at last to believe in the reality of the island

The afternoon died away,
The circular spots of sunlight moved steadily over green fronds and brown fiber but no sound came from behind the rock
Within the diamond haze of the beach something dark was fumbling along…

Then the creature stepped from the mirage on to clear sand, and they saw the darkness was not all shadow but mostly clothing
Fear can’t hurt you any more than a dream
Behind him came the twins, worried now for a while but full of unquenchable vitality

Do Seek Their Meat from God

In the short story, “Do Seek Their Meat from God”, the title of the story comes from Psalm 104:21. The story conveys that if one wants to survive in the world, the individual must find his/her meat provided by God. Throughout the story, both panthers and the man embody the meaning of “Do Seek Their Meat from God.” In order to feed their cubs, two panthers are hunting for food in the woods during the night. After the panthers has heard the sound of cry, they go and seek their food - the child. In order to get the food, the two panthers fight against the man who tries to protect the crying boy whom he later finds out that it is his own son. After two panthers are killed by the man, their cubs are destined to die of starvation, since they are young and don’t have ability to seek for their own foods. The title “Do Seek Their Meat from God” implies the fierce competition in nature that the food or the necessity for survival.

Blue Jeans

Too many blue jeans walking on the street

The sun rises

The sky becomes blue and white

Lots of people start going to work at this time

Pairs of blue jeans rush on the street

Also in the sky train stations

And bus stops

Same speed same stride

The city is busy

all the time

The blue jeans are comfortable and wide

Flowers

I am a butterfly

exist among these beautiful scenes

I can smell

Everything is so nice

Flowers bloom and

Sparkles in my eyes

In this moment

the sunshine

warms me

Lots of colours

in my sight

Different flowers are opening

For the prize

I am not the only butterfly

Playing under the sky

When the Leaves Drop

The leaves and the tree are one

They are like mother and sons

and the leaves are always being sheltered

The wind blows

The leaves dive

The tree sighs

But the leaves are just a smile

They are dead

Near the roots

They never feel sad

They have a more important reason

to leave

She will never die

because the tree has the sons

to protect its life
